Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PWHFF)

Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF) is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and veterans through fly fishing.  PHWFF was founded in 2005 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center with the help of local Trout Unlimited (TU) and Federation of Fly Fishers International (FFI) volunteers. PWHFF Alaska was established in 2010 by the Alaska Fly Fishers and is coordinated by AFF volunteers. PHWFF  staffs tying clinics at three locations for active injured military service members and disabled veterans.  The regular fly tying session meets at the William Jack Hernandez Sport Fish Hatchery in Anchorage on Thursdays from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm; the tying clinic at the VA Center in Wasilla is meeting on Tuesdays from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. It is located at 851 Westpoint Dr #111.
