Ready to wade into fly fishing? Our 50th Annual Spring Fly Fishing Seminar is a four-part series that will get you started into the world of fly fishing. Mondays, 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM at Cabela's Conference Room* April 15th - Session 1: Basic Gear of Fly Fishing & Knots An introduction to the basic equipment used for fly fishing, lines, leaders and hands-on knot tying practice with AFF members. April 22nd - Session 2: Fly Tying Demonstration & Knots II Discussion of basic fly patterns with AFF members on hand tying favorite patterns! April 29th - Session 3: Fly Fishing in South-central Alaska A panel discussion with members of AFF, local fly shop owners, guides, and fisheries biologists from ADF&G. *May 13th - Session 4: Casting Clinic Demonstration of basic casting techniques and hands-on casting practice outside on the west end of the Park Strip. (10th Ave & "P" Street) A one year membership in AFF is included with a General Public admission. You'll receive our newsletter for 12 months.
